Wiper/Turn Signal - Not Working

Postby esodu » Sun Nov 05, 2017 5:10 pm

I brought my car in for some work and now upon return the turn signals and wipers are not working. Everything looks correct and I replaced the fuse to no avail they are still not working. I am hearing a clicking noise when I switch the wipers like you should when the turn signal is run. Anyone have any ideas on where I should look next?

Why did you replace the fuse? did it burn out? If not check your connectors under the dash by the steering column, someone may have dislodged them when working on the car? Then check the grounds for both items

Wipers:
The column switch has 3 positions Up is off Center is delay and the timer has a relay that makes a clicking sound. The bottom position is continuous run. The clicking you here is most likely the delay relay. I would suspect the wiper linkage is frozen and you need to remove cowl and free up the linkage.

Turn signals: First have you removed all the bulbs and checked to make sure they are the correct one for your car. Have you looked at them for broken filaments, Have you inspected the light bulb sockets for corrosion?? Do you hazard lights work???
