Rotor attachment screws - different OE sizes

Postby gtmedley » Thu Sep 21, 2017 2:46 pm

Anyone notice a difference in the size of the metric screws that attach the rotor to the distributor? I have two dizzys, an S147 and an S124B -- and the rotor screws from the S147 do not fit the S124. Apparently, the S147 uses an M4, while the S124B uses an M3.5. The rotors appear to be identical, as is the design of the mechanical advance spring plate. But not those small tapped holes. I need the M3.5 screws. Strange.

Next time I'm gonna get a more logical car, perhaps something French.
