Quest for a S147 block distributor...

Postby gtmedley » Thu Sep 14, 2017 6:24 pm

Desperately seeking a good condition Marelli S147 in-the-block distributor from a twin cam 1438/1608. Must have no slop in the shaft and correct advance springs for a twin-cam.

Located in Hood River, Oregon, east of Portland. (Just follow the wildfire smoke...)

I have a Lada setup that works very well for my 1800. The shaft is too long, and you need to cut an "adapter pipe" to put between the block and the fatter part of the dizzy shaft. This might be a workable temporary solution, or it may work so well you keep it for good.

I got mine from Vic's a few years ago and love it. I do a minor oil leak because it's hard to get the adapter pipe to seal perfectly.
