Tonight I discovered that my temperature gauge is somehow connected to my headlights. When I turn the headlights on the temperature gauge jumps up by 15-20%. When I turn the headlights off the temperature goes back down to normal.
I'm not looking forward to figuring this one out.

I had a similar problem. I cleaned the instrument ground terminal on the grounding pod above and behind the ignition switch. That pretty much cured my problem.
