Key buzzer for 75 124

Postby spate75fiat124 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 12:39 pm

After much poking around, the "key in the switch" buzzer finally came alive. Although I want to keep the functionality, is there any other kind of buzzer available that doesn't sound like a runaway science project? I suppose that for originality I could just live with it.

My 1972 Spider has a "chime" that rings. (Like a little bell.) My mechanic was poking around when I first purchased the car and said; "Hey, did you know the seatbelt / key in ignition buzzer was disconnected? I plugged it in for you so now it works."

He did me no favor. The little bell is just as annoying! I too left in in place, but disconnected the plug to the seat belt buckle. Now it only chimes if I leave the key in the ignition and open the door.
