Which 4 fuses did you blow? Maybe you said and I missed it...

Sadly I didn't take complete notes. I wasn't expecting this to be such a big issue. When the car shut down I quickly looked at the fuse panel and noticed a few were blown. I also noticed they were a complete mix of glass and ceramic fuses. I opted to replace them all with new ceramic ones at the values listed in the manual.

This is what I recall:
• The PO added 2 blade style fuses directly to the ignition wiring to power the radio. Both of those blew. This has been removed during testing and will be redone by me.
• There was one fuse in either A,B, or C position.
• There were 2 fuses in in either I,L,M.
• Both of the inline fuses were fine (examined and checked power before and after holder)
• There is an additional inline fuse PO added from ignition switch to behind the dash that is OK but I haven't traced that yet to confirm WHY it's there.

SO... I'm not sure if this will help because I cannot say with 100% certainty which were affected.

RESOLVED!!

I've been busy with non-fiat things the past week or so but I've been testing in my free time. I was finally able to get it to fire with carb cleaner so that, IMHO, ruled out ignition issues. I came across an exact match for my ECU so I took a gamble on it. Figured they're not making any more of those, so pickup one just in case.

It arrived... I plugged it in... she fired right up!

Thanks for everyones help. Now I'm on to other issues on the fiat :-/

Great to hear you have have the car running. I don't know how it was damaged from the short at the battery but success is always sweet. Enjoy your car.
