1980 Electronic Ignition with carb does fit 72?

Does this electronic ignition work on my 1972 spider convertible?

I found it at a great price, but wanted to make sure it would work.

yes, fiddle with timing/advance & may need to find a vacuum signal source. if it's used, expect to also replace the vac module if you will be using it.

Make sure you have the correct coil - it's likely different from a 72 and won't use an external ballast.
Should be a noticeable improvement in performance and maintenance required.
