Connecting rod bolts

Postby 70spider » Thu May 25, 2017 7:05 pm

I will be putting the 1438 together soon and was researching the process of assembling a short blocks and sometimes it comes up to replace the connecting rod bolts. The motor has 58k miles on it , so the question is should I replace the con rod bolts or am I good with just tap and die them?

I'd just clean them up and call it good. I don't think you'd have the run taps or dies over the threads.
