Timing Belt Replacement Helper Doc

Postby Texafornian » Fri Mar 17, 2017 9:17 am

Hi All, in this very informative video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKikeOWInbk, at 3:52, there is a nice document that describes the timing belt replacement process for a 2000. Does anyone know the source of that document, and do they exist for 1400, 1600, 1800, etc.? Might be tackling the job this weekend, so thought it would be helpful if anyone could share. Thanks!
Daniel

there's detailed info in the manual on replacement. I bought the AR timing belt kit that came with a one page doc that was very helpful. PM me an email and I'll send it to you.

This video is really hard to watch. (You might want to take a "sea sick" pill before you watch it.) There are lot well done, informative videos of Youtube. You don't need to watch crap like this. I don't watch a video after 5 seconds if there is loud music or camera movement that leads you to believe that the camera is attached to the helmet on a Jack Russel Terrier. If you are going to dig into your motor you should invest in a repair manual easily bought on Ebay. In the long run cheeper then having to hire someone for $70.00 an hour.

Haha, I didn't say "seasick friendly', I just said informative. I'd love to see better videos, but this one seems to show up in all my "fiat 124 spider timing belt" searches. Post some other links, I'm happy to watch!

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but you do realize, Pete, that the last 10 000 or more members who have been welcomed to the site are counting on you to re-welcome them with an updated solution.
