Does anybody else use Photobucket? It's terrrible!!!

Man, I'm constantly battling all the pop-up ads. It's like angry relentless wasps flying at you from every direction.

There's got to be a better picture hosting site.

It is horrible lately. It got better for awhile and then collapsed again. Flicker and Imgur (sp?) have been recommended as alternatives.

I think Photobucket is trying to bludgeon all their customers into their paid version. If I had to start over, I'd find another hosting site. But I'd rather pay the $14.95 a year and not bother. Once signed-in and recognized, the paid version usually works well.

x2 on the paid version ... for me the 15 bucks is well worth not having to move everything over to another site

:) I have used the paid version for over 3 years. no issues at all. That being said the free version is terrible, too much bandwidth for the commercials not enough for uploading and viewing.

Photobucket has ruined this and many other sites. They are holding pictures hostage, and demanding $60/month to allow photos that have been linked here for YEARS to continue posting. I'm outraged and considering legal action.

It sucks and yes they are bas**rds.
You can take legal action on service you pay for and did not get? How do you expect to take legal action against a party that was offering free services?
Remember those terms and services (that's as long as your arm) that everyone agrees on and nobody bothers reading?
Now's a good time the first person starts reading

Testing posting a pic...

Seems to work.
Could it be that different media we are using changes the access?
I'm using a laptop.

Perhaps I reached some limit. I get an info-graphic saying I'm at 100% 3rd party hosting. If that's the case, I'll try to delete some older photos and see if I get below the limit. If I've hit a wall and can't post more, that's reasonable and I can't complain. But if they just "shut me down for ransom", that's unacceptable and I still argue illegal.

I am done with them, and will no longer post the procedure for pics posting, with any reference to them.

If you look at that picture ("Please update your account to enable third party hosting") it sadly is not working for you.

I have used and continue to use Flickr with success (knock on wood!).
