Fiat season starting...

Postby narfire » Mon May 22, 2017 4:03 pm

Finally some warm/hot weather. Latest I've ever started with the spider. Pushed the car out of the sea-can and is now on the charger..... Other than some rain forecasted for Wed. , hope to see a continuation of this 30 deg.C weather. Sucks for the lakefront homes as the lake is on its way to flood state...Above average snow pack is melting faster than the lake can be drained....
Insurance on it tomorrow just as the Passat's expires....
Need a new muffler and the brakes set up again, they seem soft/spongy. The hood should have a re-paint as well, currently has patches of crinkly paint that seems to be lifting.... Oh and a good wash and wax.

Hey Chris - you guys are really getting hit with the floods this year! Bet you're glad you're a long way up the hill. I've been too busy dealing with some boat issues so I don't miss much more of some really great spring fishing here to spend a lot of time in the Spider. Too many toys and not enough time!! Tough, right?
Hope you and Janyce are well.

Finished putting my 82 back together with a marathon weekend effort. Drove it to work yesterday, and may do so again today. OK, it's a little chilly with the top down and 45 degrees, but hey, that's what the heater is for!

Crap.....thundershowers overnight and cool/cold this am. Snow on the local Mts. at 5000 feet.....
Yes Bruce, the waterfront is taking it on the chin so to speak. Very little beach available right now, docks have barrels filled with weight of some sort so they don't float away but some have been seen piled up on the shore after last night 50mph+ winds.
Still nothing compared to the destruction seen in Texas and in "tornado ally" recently. That is a disaster, a little water, not so much really.
My new location is on an infilled lake(slew) so the water table is high but no problems yet...touch wood.
