My First Time

Postby Funcar » Fri Nov 11, 2016 6:13 am

I have had my Spider for about 3 years and finally yesterday went all the way. Our relationship progressed very slowly as she seemed very reluctant to let me have my way so to speak. Of course I was a fumbling novice at this sort of thing and this lead to many embarrassing times, some very humors times and even though there was discussion about ending our relationship on several occasion we somehow persevered.

I got my plates and sticker yesterday and went for a 50 mile run. I couldn't believe how well the car ran. We still have a lot of issues too work out over the winter and spring months . I am looking for our relationship developing into total bliss! Ok I am not so naive as to believe that everything will run smoothly so will continue to work hard to provide the maintenance that is required.

"First time" is always special, congrats Funcar.
It usually comes with that "ear to ear grin".
Fixing these cars can be fun, educational and some would even say therapeutic.
But driving one..it doesn't get much better.
Enjoy (weather permitting).

Congrats, Glen. It's always a milestone to get it out and actually drive it. You were faster than me. It took me 6 years to get mine on the road.

Thanks Russ and the rest of you guys on this form. Although the car is in storage I am still pumped to get her out in the spring. Wish I was coming to Arizona this winter to hang out with you and your wife Russ but will be going to Mexico.
