FreeValve - Camless engines made possible

Postby SunnySideUp » Thu Nov 10, 2016 6:10 pm

Imagine - no cam shafts and getting variable valve timing. Application to the classic Lampredi-designed twin cam engines would be interesting. Would probably require a new head to be designed along with crank sensors and an ecu of some sort and likely best when coupled with a fuel-injected system like that found in the '80.5 to '85.5 series Spiders.

They are only supporting requests from "industrial partners" at this time, but maybe one of our trusty vendors has an "in" to get this kind of tech made available for the Lampredi-designed engines sitting in the classic Spiders be it from FreeValve or some other source.
