Safe travels, Jim!

I'd avoid taking I-90 , even to the I-355 exit; they're re-doing the whole express way from Elgin to O'Hare. If I was heading for Ohio, I'd grab I-39 in Rockford, and run one of two routes. I-39 to I-80 , then to Indiana and I-65 or Indiana Turnpike to Ohio (North route, lots of tolls). Or, I-39 south to Bloomington, IL, take I-74 to Indy, then I-70 to Ohio. The 39-74-70 route is about 100 miles longer (at least to Dayton), but no tolls except for the first IL toll booth in Rockford (and since yer towing a trailer, that might save a few bucks... :D ).
