Damn Pokemons......

Postby njoconnor » Sun Jul 17, 2016 8:00 am

I get back from a rather successful (for me) round of golf, and my two younger adult sons are in the drive, laughing. "Hey, Dad, look what we found!" :

Might want to be checking your Spiders for Pokemon infestations. Little bugger didn't even wipe its feet......

Moth balls tied inside socks is supposed to be good to keep squirrels away....maybe it would work for Pokemans too.

That's funny...

I am waiting to hear about accidents regarding this new game and hope they are not tragic accidents. Bad enough young kids walking across roads(not looking) while glued to their phones texting and now this....

Unfortunately there have been accidents and they have been tragic such as head on collisions, and walking into ponds or traffic oblivious to what's around them while playing Pokemon-Go. The millenials are redefining stupidity to a whole new dimension. Some jurisdictions have already installed traffic lights for pedestrians...on the pavement.

The local traffic info electronic signs have been beaming "Drive now, catch 'em later" the past week. We've been spared accidents around here, but it's still a little unsettling watching folks on the sidewalks, clearly distracted by their phones, wandering about after these things.

Mothballs in socks....may have to try that. Been using mothballs in open pie pans, augmented by dryer sheets. Makes the garage a tad ripe by spring, but no critter issues with the Spider.

You know it is a hard time to be a police officer. Police departments all over the country have seen a significant increase in the number of reported 911 trespassing calls because people are walking right onto other people property to get these Pokemon. I saw some strangers in my neighbors side yard yesterday walking around holding a phone. I just can't imagine how hard it is to be a police officer today.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

Two teens in Florida had shots fired at them for the same thing last week. Thankfully no on was hurt.

there are obviously lots of issues to work out, but at least kids usually tied to their xboxes/playstations are getting real exercise in the real world (although they are still walking around tied to electronics).

my kids now want to go with me every time i fire up the fiat for the possibility of catching poke balls and critters on the way. not a terrible way to run errands on a nice day (with kids in fiat).
