glove box

Hello all - I am in the middle of restoring my 80' spider. I just replaced the dash and now the glove box won't fit. Anyone have a solution that's more elegant that cutting it or should I just cut it to fit.

You can use a heat gun (carefully) to reshape. I did that to take out 40 years of bends and warps from my 75.

Yeah, the thing seems to be sprung into place. I had to pull mine out years ago for some reason that I can't remember, and it was a pia to get back in. Spring it here and there, and only loosely attach the hardware until it is all apparently in place. It will go back in, but it sure seems like it doesn't want to.

Thanks everyone. I got it to fix. It was a PIA!
