Starting after replacing fuel lines and tank

Postby spiderman1 » Mon Sep 05, 2016 5:00 pm

I replaced the fuel lines and de-rusted and dipped the tank. I tried to start and it doesn't seem to be firing. Anything thing special I need to do to get fuel back in the lines-I have an 82-fuel injected

When I did this recently, I totally goofed up the fuel pump connections so it was running backwards. I would put a fuel pressure gauge on the FI rail and confirm that you have proper pressure there. T a connection off of the CSI.

Double check that your fuel pump is running and the fuel filter is facing the right direction, also look at the vapor lines and any check valves which might be clogged.

Thanks for all the help-I traced it down and the relay was unplugged under the glove box. So simple but I guess its easy to miss when the dash is being moved around a bunch.
