"USED" OE Fuel Tank

Postby kmoses » Tue Apr 12, 2016 9:48 pm

I needed to replace the fuel tank on my carbureted '79 Spider. My go to Fiat vendor was out of stock with none in sight for months. I contacted Midwest-Bayless and asked about the quality of the new tanks vs. OE (I have seen replacement fuel tanks that could be dented with your thumb). I was informed that they had some nice used OE tanks at a good price, I have had good results with their used items so I bought one. All I can say is "Wow", that is the best looking used fuel tank I have ever seen. There was no rust to be seen outside and the inside was nice and smooth with no rust. It dropped right into place on the studs and the fuel level sender I also purchased from them bolted right up. The tank was also packaged and padded very well. Price $149 (without shipping).

I bought one from them for my 80. Same results and price.
