Charcoal Trap 1975 spider

If you plan on not running any smog parts...Do you need to keep the charcoal trap that is connected out & into the Carb? New member...hello to all...thanks for any feedback.

Some have said they got a bit more of a fuel odor in the garage after removing the charcoal can, but that was not my experience.
