2016 Fiat Nationals - Australia

Postby jandarah » Mon Feb 08, 2016 2:21 pm

April 1, 3 and 3 - Queensland Raceway, Willowbank (Sth West of Brisbane)

Supersprints against the clock, Motorkhana and Show and Shine.

A annual event held on the eastern side of the country, each year held in either the states of Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland in turn. My first year with the Spider, certainly enter it in the Show n Shine and am seriously thinking about the Supersprints.

Well, the Nationals are over for another year. My first venture into sprint racing. Cannot wait until next year in NSW state.

Well, not that many Spiders or parts in Australia left. Many source parts from the US or Europe. Just trying to find an older Fiat (not even a Spider) at a reasonable price or for spares is becoming impossible. All the collectors have them hidden away. The Spider was never sold here new or in right hand drive anywhere, most went to the US.

David, it was nice meeting you also, met so many, plus fully engrossed with sprinting efforts, I have now forgotten who was who!! Having to detune my car to make Sam and Maika's cars look more competitive was also difficult.
