You beat me to posting it,Jay. The negotiations for this venue have been going on for months. To be a part of such a huge event as the PVGP is a cool opportunity. As the featured marque, our cars will be seen by 10's of thousands of people.

Holy Crap! One of my best buddies lives in Pittsburgh. I drove to see him a couple of years ago in the family car. Not that bad a drive at all.

In a Spider I would probably want to break it up into two stages and cruise at 55-60mph, not War Emergecy Power (balls to the wall) all the way...

As long as family is well and/or I can get child-care for a few days I'm there. :) :) :)

Cheers,

Just make sure you have a GPS with you as every road in western PA either follows a river or hillside.
Although the ride from Monroeville to Oakland (Schenley Park) is a straight shot on the Parkway as long as the Squirrel Hill Tunnel isn't closed.
If I go, I'm flying in.

John, talk to Andy and Jeff, maybe drive to Texas and share/get a spot on the car carrier? If it is not full...

Last time I made that trip in the Fiat was over 30 years ago. Not sure my old bones could stand it.

BTW the drive to Falling Water may be worth the trip in itself. Very impressive architecture to keep the house from floating away.

I get the feeling this could be an epic FFO.It will be great to see you guys!! We will be the featured marque of the Cortile car show, although we will still do our own judging separate from the main festivities. The promotor has been working with us to make it a ''Show within a Show''.All this while vintage racing is going on all around us.I would encourage anyone who has never attended an FFO,to try to plan for this one.Its gonna be special

Plans they are a hatchin' .... 21hr straight drive over 1300 miles (that's about 2100km to you north of the border) is a fair way. I'm going to look at ways of getting some cars shipped up there (as Alan pointed out further up this thread).

Mind you - I've just returned from a 2000 mile round trip to Albuquerque which really wasn't THAT bad, although we did that in a week!

This really does look to be an awesome FFO though - so looking forward to getting there (preferably with a vehicle or two!)
