I think a bright red works pretty well. Rustoleum 2X Gloss Apple Red, holds on plastic.

I quite like the yellow as a unique trait share on many old Fiat motors. Makes me smile each time I open the hood.

Just a guestion. My engine is black. Its in fair condition. Has anyone ever used truck bed liner paint? Would it be too dull ? Engine components are red, black, polished aluminum.

Sorry forgot to load photo. I am questioning if anyone has used truck bed liner paint on compartment.

Here's an 84 engine bay, we're just finishing up the installation of a performance head with port and polish, FI street cams, oversize valves, MLS gasket and head stud kit.

I found one of those timing belt covers in the collection of spare parts that came with one of my Spiders and I've been wondering if it was even for a Spider.

I'll have to look around for some of your other posts. I'm curious where you found that radiator (cross-flow with the rear-ward neck for hood clearance, nice!) as well as how your cooling system is plumbed as you've eliminated the T and extra coolant hoses. Did I read you're running a Microsquirt as well?
Overall, what a great looking engine bay!

I did the thermostat conversion on my car also, and for the thermostat housing I found one on eBay for around $40 or so, but they are relatively rare. The thermostat, gaskets, and top hose came from Autoricambi (part #'s CO3-425, CO9-413, GA1-402) and the bottom hose came from Rock Auto (Gates part #21897).
