That's pretty bad. I've seen balljoints that have failed...

that's what happens when you have broken dust boots; water washes out the grease and yes I've seen many that have completely failed. At least that one is still together

On the replacement ball joints that the various vendors offer, that have a boot but no grease fitting. Are we to assume that these are permanently lubricated and need no maintenance as long as the boot is intact :?:
