New Panhard Rod

Thought this would be an easy one.... removed old rod, and can't get new one on. It is ever so slightly "off" and won't slide on the bolt.
I assume this is because in the removal process the car "slightly" shifted.
Any hints/ tips for getting this sucker on?

get someone to help you by pushing the car to the side while you slip in the bolt

I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing.

Is your car (a) on the ground, (b) held up with jackstands on the axle, or (c) held up with jackstands at the rear jacking points (preferably with a jack under the differential)? I think (c) is the way it's supposed to be done. Seems to me that if you had it suspended in this manner, with the jack under the pumpkin, you could raise and lower the axle and maybe get the bolts to line up.

Got it in somehow! Had it on jack stands at the axle and jack at differential. I found it easiest to put it on the drivers side bolt first, then maneuver into place on the passenger side. I was raising and lowering the axle at different heights but didn't seem to help. Side to side rear movement made a difference.

OK, that makes sense. I guess if the car is stable, some gentle pushing by a friend from one side or the other wouldn't put one at too much risk, and one doesn't need to be that far under the car.

If it's just a bit off then use a screwdriver to align the bushing's sleeve with the hole in the mount. Slide it in than leverage off the mount to move the sleeve.
