Has anyone tried to air bag a Spider?

My impression so far is that people put their cars on airbags so that they can lower them onto the pavement (or lawn) when parking them in the presence of automotive enthusiasts.

It also provides an opportunity to put shiny objects in the trunk that can be shown off with the trunk open.

What puzzles me is that they do this lowering show while they're inside it, making it awkward to exit the vehicle.

The spider is already extremely low..air bags won't be a handling improvement. So I guess it's the items you mentioned... I suppose I should be more excited about it since I'm the hotrod fiat guy with the v6 in his spider, but the air bags seem like it's just a show thing with no added performance features... so yeah I'm not so excited..lol

There are airbag systems with on-the-fly damping adjustment for handling performance.

But they are very expensive so most of the time bags are just for show.

I don't get the low-at-any-cost thing. I know guys who have pans less than 2 inches from the pavement. And people who don't drive places because they aren't "low friendly". Bags are a way to be pointlessly lowered and also be able to go to the grocery store with a bumpy entrance.

There's a funny, if mean, video out there titled something like "anti-rice device"

View through the rear window of some hatchback, tennis ball stuck under rear wiper.

Car following is extremely low, has carbon fiber air dam suspended out in front of his bumper.

The driver's reaction when a tennis ball starts bouncing toward his car is hilarious.

I thought safety bags as well.
Egads, every single one of those cars in the youtube video were so annoyingly and repulsively ugly...did i mention hideous.
