Buongiorno!

Buongiorno forum users!
My name is Stefano, I’m from Italy, I live in the north-eastern corner in a region called Friuli.
I recently bought a 1979 Spider CS2 from a gentleman here who purchased it in 2008, when the car came back to Italy from California.
Originally carbureted with single dual body carburetor, the previous owner wanted to make it kind-of-Abarth, so he changed the intake manifold and installed 2x Weber IDF40 carbuterors.
The car was repainted in red from the original silver, replaced the bulky bumpers with rubber bumperettes, got a new hard top instead of the soft one, plus some other changes.
No big works to do, I’m now “refreshing” the interiors, to have the original seats back in place - the previous owner installed race-style front seats and removed the rear bench.
I look forward to completing all my works and begin riding through the spring colors!

Hi Stefano

Welcome. I can see why you want a hardtop for your location.

I will be moving to Italy in one to two years and will bring my Spider and early 500 with me from Florida. I am currently building a house in Teggiano.
